10 Mbps optocoupler with 5 kV isolation for noisy industrial links
The FOD260LSDV is a single-channel optoisolator from onsemi rated for 10 Mbps data throughput and 5000 Vrms isolation — the combination that matters when you are running a high-speed digital signal across a galvanic barrier in a motor drive or PLC backplane. The open-collector Schottky-clamped output sinks up to 50 mA per channel and operates from a 3 V to 5.5 V supply, so it mates directly with 3.3 V or 5 V logic without a level translator.
Common-mode transient immunity and propagation delay
Minimum common-mode transient immunity of 25 kV/µs keeps the output from glitching when the motor-drive IGBTs switch — a spec you verify against your inverter's dv/dt at the isolation barrier. Maximum propagation delays of 90 ns (low-to-high) and 75 ns (high-to-low) with 22 ns rise and 3 ns fall times give you a timing budget for closed-loop current sensing or encoder feedback paths.
Active production and package options
Supplied in Tape & Reel or Cut Tape for the 8-SMD gull-wing package; the same die is also available in tube (FOD260LS) and bulk (FOD260LSV) for prototype or low-volume runs.
