Obsolete — sourcing reality for this BOM line
onsemi has marked the CNY17F4300W as Obsolete. For existing BOM positions, this part is sourced through independent distribution channels — quantities are lot-specific and confirmed at RFQ.
Rated for 5300Vrms isolation — this is a reinforced-grade isolation barrier, suitable for primary-to-secondary separation in AC mains-powered equipment where the working voltage is 250V or below. The 160% to 320% Current Transfer Ratio range at 10mA forward current means the output transistor saturates with modest LED drive; at the minimum CTR of 160%, a 10mA input yields at least 16mA output current, which is enough to pull a logic input low or drive a low-power relay coil. The output transistor handles up to 70V Vce and 50mA continuous current per channel, with a Vce saturation floor of 300mV. The 100mA absolute-max forward current sets the LED drive ceiling — stay below 60mA continuous for reliable long-term operation through the isolation barrier.
Speed and temperature — bench limits for the rework tech
Typical turn-on time is 2µs, turn-off 3µs; rise/fall times are 1µs and 2µs respectively. This limits the practical switching frequency to about 100 kHz — above that, the output pulse width narrows until the downstream logic misses edges. For a 24V PLC input or a 5V microcontroller GPIO, the 2-3µs delay is negligible.
