Product details

4170 Vrms isolation in a 6-DIP body

The CNY17F2TM_F132: Rated for 4170 Vrms isolation between input and output — this meets the reinforced insulation requirement for many mains-referenced circuits, motor-drive feedback, and medical-device barrier applications where a 4 kV class is the baseline. Housed in a 6-DIP through-hole package with 0.400-inch (10.16 mm) pin spacing. The wide body gives creepage distance across the package surface, which is the limiting factor for sustained isolation voltage, not just the dielectric breakdown of the moulding compound.

Current transfer ratio (CTR) is specified at 63% minimum and 125% maximum, both at If = 10 mA. This bin (F2) guarantees a tight CTR spread — useful when the output side must switch a known load without over-designing the input drive or the pull-up resistor. The output transistor handles up to 50 mA continuous and blocks 70 V.

Switching speed and temperature range

Typical turn-on time is 2 µs, turn-off 3 µs; rise and fall times are 4 µs and 3.5 µs max. This is adequate for 10-50 kHz switching signals, PLC digital inputs, and status-feedback loops — not intended for high-speed data isolation above 100 kbit/s. Operating temperature spans -40°C to 100°C, covering industrial enclosures and outdoor cabinets where ambient heat from adjacent power supplies is a factor.
