What this rail-to-rail steering array does
The CM1213-06SM is a six-channel steering (rail-to-rail) diode array from onsemi, designed to clamp ESD transients on low-voltage signal lines. Its 3.3V reverse standoff and 8.8V typical clamp make it a fit for protecting 3.3V logic interfaces — think USB, HDMI, or LVDS data pairs — where the protected IC cannot tolerate a clamp above the rail. Each of the six unidirectional channels routes the transient to the supply rail or ground, keeping the downstream silicon inside its absolute-maximum ratings. The 8-SOIC package saves board area compared to discrete diode pairs, though the 0.154-inch body width means the fan-out is straightforward on a two-layer board.
Obsolete — plan your last-time buy or cross now
onsemi lists the CM1213-06SM as Obsolete. That means no further production runs are scheduled. If you have an active BOM line using this part, the window for a last-time buy is closed unless you find NOS (new old stock) through independent distribution. We can quote against your required quantity from our multi-source network — no stock-holding claim, but we will search the open market for you. The package is Tape & Reel (TR). The reel label states the MSL level.
