Rail-to-rail ESD clamp for 3.3V data lines
The CM1213-06MR is a 6-channel steering (rail-to-rail) TVS diode array from onsemi, designed to protect high-speed data lines from ESD and other transient overvoltage events. Its 3.3V reverse standoff voltage matches common 3.3V logic and I/O supply rails, so the clamp triggers before the protected IC's absolute maximum is exceeded. Each of the six unidirectional channels can handle a peak pulse current of 1A (8/20µs waveform), clamping the line to 8.8V typical. This makes it suitable for protecting HDMI, USB, Ethernet, and other differential or single-ended interfaces on general-purpose PCBs.
Industrial temperature range and package fit
The 8-MSOP package fits a standard two-layer board; the small footprint leaves room for trace routing under the device. Power line protection is built in, meaning the rail-to-rail topology also clamps transients on the VCC rail itself, not just the signal lines. This is a practical advantage when the supply rail is shared with sensitive mixed-signal parts.
The base product number CM1213 covers a family of channel-count variants, so the 06MR (6-channel) is a standard catalog item.
