Switching speed and timing margin
Turn-on time of 240 ns and turn-off time of 1.3 µs (typical) set the practical data rate ceiling around 500 kbps — adequate for slow serial buses like RS-485 or I2C isolation, but not for high-speed SPI or CAN FD. The asymmetric turn-on/turn-off skew means the propagation delay mismatch must be budgeted in the system timing analysis, especially in multi-channel or daisy-chained isolation paths.
