The 1N6288A is an onsemi Mosorb™ Zener transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode in a DO-201AD axial leaded package, rated for 1500W peak pulse power at 10/1000 µs waveform. It is designed for general-purpose circuit protection where a single unidirectional channel must clamp transients above 43.6V reverse standoff. This means the protected rail sees no more than 70.1V during a surge event, which is the key number for design margin.
