1500W peak pulse – what it buys you
The 1N6282ARL4: This is a 1500W (1.5kW) peak pulse power Zener TVS diode. That rating is the maximum power the die can absorb in a 10/1000 µs surge waveform before the junction temperature exceeds the limit. For a 25.6V standoff rail, that translates to a clamp of 41.4V at the peak pulse current Ipp. The breakdown starts at 28.5V minimum. The gap between standoff and breakdown is the margin you design to – the rail must stay below 25.6V in normal operation, and the transient must not exceed 41.4V at the load.
DO-201AD axial – field-swappable package
The through-hole axial package has leads on both ends. The operating junction temperature range is -65°C to 175°C.
Single unidirectional channel – one rail, one diode
This is a single unidirectional channel. It protects one DC rail against positive transients above the breakdown voltage. If you need bidirectional protection (for AC lines or bipolar rails), you would need two of these back-to-back or a dedicated bidirectional TVS. Power line protection is not supported – this part is for signal or low-power DC rails, not mains.
