Obsolete status and sourcing reality
For existing BOM lines or repair stock, the only sourcing path is the independent market — excess inventory, surplus lots, or broker-sourced material.
What the 1500W peak pulse rating means for your protection design
The 190V minimum breakdown voltage sets the clamping threshold: the device starts conducting at 190V and clamps the transient to a maximum of 274V at 5.5A peak pulse current. For a 171V reverse standoff, the diode stays off during normal DC rail operation up to 171V, then activates only when a surge exceeds that level.
Unidirectional channel and temperature range
Single unidirectional channel — cathode band on the DO-201AD axial package — so it protects one polarity rail. The through-hole DO-201AD body handles the thermal pulse of a 1500W surge without delaminating.
