The NXP TEA1993TS/1H is a GreenChip™ secondary-side synchronous rectifier controller in an SC-74 package. It replaces the Schottky diode in a flyback converter's secondary stage with a low-RDS(on) MOSFET, cutting conduction losses and improving overall converter efficiency. The 200 µA supply current keeps the controller's own overhead negligible, which matters most in standby and light-load conditions where every milliwatt counts. This is a controller IC — it drives an external MOSFET; the MOSFET itself is not included.
Package and mounting — SC-74 / SOT-457
The TEA1993TS/1H is supplied in an SC-74 (also designated SOT-457) surface-mount package. The supplier device package is SC-74. Surface-mount assembly is standard; no special footprint beyond the SC-74 land pattern is required.
Lifecycle and compliance — active, ROHS3, no LTB watch
It is ROHS3 compliant. For a production BOM, this means you can qualify the part without building in an obsolescence contingency — no need to dual-source or stockpile against a near-term phase-out. The GreenChip™ series is an active NXP product family, so supply continuity through authorized and independent channels is expected.
