The S9S12XS256J0VAL: Integrated CANbus, SCI (UART), and SPI serial interfaces cover the common fieldbus and sensor links in automotive and industrial control nodes. The 16-channel 12-bit A/D converter samples analog inputs without an external ADC — the 12-bit resolution is adequate for throttle-position or pressure-sensor readback at the update rates this class of control loop demands. On-chip LVD, POR, PWM, and WDT reduce external supervisory IC count.
