8-bit I2C GPIO with interrupt and POR
The PCA9674APW,118 is an 8-bit I2C-bus GPIO expander from NXP, providing eight push-pull output or input pins controlled via a 1 MHz I2C interface. It includes a power-on reset (POR) feature that initializes the I/O to a known state at power-up, and an interrupt output that signals the host when an input changes — useful for polling-free monitoring in embedded systems.
Each I/O pin can source 100 µA or sink 25 mA — enough to drive an LED directly or interface with a low-power sensor without a buffer.
Housed in a 16-TSSOP (4.40 mm width) surface-mount package, with a 0.65 mm pitch that routes cleanly on a two-layer PCB. Cut Tape (CT) also available for prototyping.
