Package and board-fit for rework
Housed in an 8-HVSON (3x3 mm) package with an exposed thermal pad, the part sits flat on the board and the pad needs a good solder joint to the ground plane to pull heat out. The 8-VFDFN footprint is standard — the pad layout and stencil aperture for the thermal slug matter more for reliability than the signal pins themselves. Will it survive the hot air?
