4-channel PWM dimming at 25 mA per channel
The PCA9633TK,118: The internal switches handle the current directly, so no external driver transistors are needed for the LED strings. Targeted at backlight applications, the PWM dimming allows brightness control without shifting the LED colour temperature — the duty cycle adjusts the average current while the peak current stays at the set 25 mA.
Package and board-fit for rework
Housed in an 8-HVSON (3x3 mm) package with an exposed thermal pad, the part sits flat on the board and the pad needs a good solder joint to the ground plane to pull heat out. The 8-VFDFN footprint is standard — the pad layout and stencil aperture for the thermal slug matter more for reliability than the signal pins themselves. Will it survive the hot air? Yes — the exposed pad gives you a thermal path to the board, so a rework station with bottom preheat lifts the part cleanly without lifting the pads.
