Motor-control MCU with 100 MHz Cortex-M4 and dual 16-bit ADCs
The MKV30F64VFM10: It targets motor-drive and power-conversion loops where the PWM update rate and control-law throughput are the binding constraints — the 100 MHz core and on-chip DMA keep the control loop under 10 µs typical for a field-oriented-control (FOC) stack. Dual 16-bit ADCs sample two motor phases simultaneously, and the 12-bit DAC provides a reference or analog output for the current-sense front-end. The PWM timer channels drive the inverter bridge directly, reducing external glue logic. Operating from -40 to 105 °C, the device covers the enclosure ambient in a motor-drive cabinet without active cooling.
The 32-HVQFN (5x5 mm) package with wettable flank terminals enables automated optical inspection (AOI) of the solder joints — a requirement for high-volume production. 26 general-purpose I/O are available, with I2C, SPI, and UART/USART connectivity for encoder feedback, comms to a host controller, or fieldbus bridges.
