ColdFire V1 at 50 MHz — what it brings to the board
The NXP MCF51JM128VLH is a 32-bit ColdFire V1 MCU clocked at 50 MHz, packing 128 KB Flash and 16 KB RAM into a 64-LQFP (10x10 mm) package. It targets industrial control, sensor hubs, and USB-interfaced instrumentation where the USB OTG controller eliminates a separate PHY chip. The 51 GPIO lines and 12-channel 12-bit ADC leave room for local I/O expansion without an external mux.
Peripheral set and supply flexibility
On-chip connectivity covers CANbus, I²C, SCI (UART), SPI, and USB OTG. Supply range is 2.7 V to 5.5 V.
Sourcing and lifecycle
NXP lists the MCF51JM128VLH as an active product (ROHS3 compliant).
