What the MC33911BAC is and where it fits
The NXP MC33911BAC is a System Basis Chip (SBC) that integrates power management, CAN/LIN interfaces, and monitoring functions in a single 32-LQFP package. It is designed for automotive and industrial electronic control units (ECUs) where a regulated supply, wake-up capability, and bus communication are required on one die. Supply range is 5.5 V to 27 V; operating temperature is -40°C to 125°C.
Key ratings and what they mean for the BOM
Supply current of 4.5 mA is the quiescent draw — relevant for always-on modules that must not drain the battery when the ignition is off. A lower figure here saves standby power in body controllers and gateway modules. The 32-LQFP (7x7) package is a common footprint for automotive SBCs.
Lifecycle and sourcing
ROHS3 compliant. This is a current-design-in part, not an end-of-life scavenge.
