What this Cortex-M0+ MCU brings to the board
The NXP MKL17Z128VLH4 is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ MCU from the Kinetis KL1 family, clocked at 48 MHz with 128 KB Flash and 32 KB RAM. It has 54 I/O, a 20-channel 16-bit ADC, a 12-bit DAC, and I²C, SPI, UART, and LINbus interfaces.
The 1.71V minimum supply means the MCU stays alive through a Li-ion cell's full discharge curve down to the brown-out threshold.
