The 800 MHz Cortex-M7 core handles a motor-control loop, CANopen stack, and TCP/IP Ethernet link simultaneously.
The peripheral set covers CANbus, Ethernet, USB OTG, I²C, SPI, SAI, SPDIF, and MMC/SD/SDIO — enough to bridge a legacy fieldbus to a modern industrial Ethernet backbone or act as a gateway node. The internal oscillator keeps the core running during boot, but for CAN or Ethernet you'll want an external crystal for the PLL jitter budget.
