The NXP MIMXRT1052DVL6B is a crossover MCU from the RT1050 series, built around an ARM Cortex-M7 core running at 600 MHz. It targets the gap between a traditional microcontroller and an application processor — enough compute for GUI rendering, Ethernet protocol stacks, and real-time motor control loops, all without the boot complexity of a Linux-class MPU. Program memory is external (QSPI Flash or similar); the on-chip 512K x 8 SRAM handles the working set and data buffers. With 127 I/O, Ethernet, CAN, USB OTG, and multiple serial interfaces, this is the kind of chip you spec when a single PCB needs to talk to a fieldbus, a display, and a servo drive.

The peripheral set includes Ethernet, CAN, USB OTG, multiple SPI and I²C channels, SAI (audio), SPDIF, and SDIO. That is a wide enough mix to cover industrial gateway designs, motor drives with fieldbus interfaces, and HMI panels with display and touch. The 20-channel 12-bit ADC handles analog feedback from sensors or potentiometers.
