Quad Cortex-A53 at 1.5 GHz — the application tier
This is a heterogeneous compute architecture: the Cortex-A53 cluster manages the application stack and networking, while the Cortex-M4 offloads deterministic tasks like PWM generation, interrupt handling, or protocol parsing — eliminating a separate MCU from the BOM in many designs.

Display and connectivity suite
Display interfaces include eDP, HDMI, and MIPI-DSI, plus a MIPI-CSI camera input — enabling dual-screen HMI or video capture/playback without external bridge chips. For connectivity, the part carries dual USB 3.0 ports and a Gigabit Ethernet MAC, sufficient for industrial IoT gateways aggregating sensor data over Ethernet and serving a local web interface. Additional interfaces — EBI/EMI, I²C, PCIe, SPI, UART, and uSDHC — cover peripheral expansion and storage. The security block includes ARM TrustZone, CAAM, HAB, RDC, RTC, SJC, and SNVS, supporting secure boot and encrypted storage for production devices.
Not rated for under-hood automotive or outdoor enclosures without active thermal management.
