Quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 with M4 coprocessor — application processor for media-rich embedded systems
The MIMX8MM5DVTLZAA: Quad-core 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 application processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, paired with an ARM Cortex-M4 coprocessor. Integrates GbE, dual USB 2.0 ports with integrated PHY, PCIe, MIPI-DSI display interface, and supports DDR3L, DDR4, and LPDDR4 memory.
Memory interface flexibility
The RAM controller accepts DDR3L, DDR4, and LPDDR4, which lets a designer match the memory speed and power profile to the application without changing the SoC footprint. The 486-LFBGA (14x14 mm) package is a standard footprint across the family.
Security features for connected products
Built-in security features including ARM TrustZone, CAAM, HAB, OCRAM, RDC, SJC, and SNVS cover secure boot, encrypted storage, and tamper detection. For an IoT gateway or payment terminal, these blocks meet the common requirements for trusted execution without a separate secure element.
