96 MHz Cortex-M33 with TrustZone for edge control
The NXP LPC55S06JBD64E is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M33 single-core MCU running at 96 MHz, with 256 KB Flash and 96 KB SRAM. It targets industrial control, IoT edge nodes, and CANbus-connected subsystems where a balance of throughput, memory, and peripheral integration is needed. The Cortex-M33 brings TrustZone security and a single-cycle multiply-accumulate unit, so the core can handle lightweight cryptographic operations or sensor fusion without a separate security co-processor.
Peripheral mix and connectivity
Connectivity spans CANbus, FlexComm (configurable as I2C, SPI, UART), I2C, SPI, and UART/USART. The 45 GPIOs and a 9-channel 16-bit SAR ADC cover typical sensor readout and actuator control.
The 64-HTQFP package with exposed pad aids thermal dissipation when the part is driving multiple outputs or running continuous ADC conversions at the full 96 MHz.
Supply and power management
Listed as Active in production.
