The NXP LPC54018J2MET180E is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M4 microcontroller from the LPC540xx series, clocked at 180 MHz. It carries 2 MB of Flash program memory and 360 KB of RAM — enough headroom for a GUI stack, Ethernet TCP/IP offload, and a real-time control loop without external memory. The 137 GPIOs and the peripheral set (Ethernet, CAN, USB, multiple SPI/I²C, plus an external bus interface) make it a natural fit for an HMI panel that talks to a PLC over Modbus TCP while logging data to an SD card over SDIO.
