The NXP LPC3240FET296/01K is a 16/32-bit ARM9 microcontroller running at 266 MHz, built for applications that need a real-time control loop with a network stack on the same die. The ROMless program memory means all firmware lives on an external NOR/NAND Flash or EEPROM accessed through the EBI/EMI interface — the 256K × 8 SRAM serves as code scratchpad and data buffer, not persistent storage.
