72 MHz Cortex-M3 with on-chip EEPROM
The NXP LPC1517JBD64E is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 MCU clocked at 72 MHz, with 64 KB Flash, 12 KB RAM, and 4 KB EEPROM on a single die. The EEPROM block saves an external serial EEPROM for parameter storage in motor drives, sensor nodes, or CAN-based fieldbus gateways. The 24-channel 12-bit ADC and CANbus interface reduce peripheral count on industrial control boards. Operating from 2.4 V to 3.6 V and rated -40 to 105 °C, it fits unventilated enclosures and outdoor telecom cabinets without derating.
Memory sizing and BOM impact
64 KB Flash and 12 KB RAM support CANopen or Modbus RTU stacks. The 4 KB EEPROM eliminates a separate serial EEPROM, saving board area and one I²C address.
The -40 to 105 °C range and 2.4 V to 3.6 V supply cover battery-backed and regulated industrial designs. Brown-out detect and POR are integrated.
