Device identity and speed grade
The GAL22V10-15LVC is an electrically erasable programmable logic device (EE PLD) from National Semiconductor, a PAL-type architecture with a 15 ns propagation delay. This 15 ns speed grade means the combinatorial logic path settles within 15 ns from input to registered output — a key constraint for bus-interface timing in 5 V tolerant systems where the address decode or state machine must meet the processor's setup time.
Supplied in a PLCC-28 package (JEDEC MO-047), the 28-pin plastic leaded chip carrier occupies a compact footprint on the PCB. The J-lead profile allows socketed or direct-solder mounting, and the 1.27 mm pitch is layout-friendly on two-layer boards.
Lifecycle and compliance
For legacy BOM lines that accept leaded solder, this remains a viable drop-in.
