1812 wirewound choke for DC-DC input/output filtering
The LQH43CN100K03L is a Murata drum-core wirewound inductor from the LQH43 series, offering 10 µH inductance with ±10 % tolerance in an unshielded 1812 (4532 metric) surface-mount package. Rated at 650 mA DC with a maximum DC resistance of 240 mOhm, the I²R loss at full current sits around 100 mW — the ferrite core and 85 °C temperature rating handle that thermal load without derating in most ambient conditions.
Self-resonant frequency and usable band
The self-resonant frequency is 23 MHz, tested at 1 MHz. Above SRF the impedance turns capacitive, so this part is a fit for switching-regulator filtering up to a few MHz — not for RF tank circuits or VCO chokes where the operating frequency must stay well below SRF. Unshielded construction means the external field couples into nearby traces — keep sensitive analog or feedback loops at least a few millimeters away on the PCB layout, or switch to a shielded variant in the same footprint if radiated noise becomes a concern.
