Active AEC-Q200 qualified 47 µH shielded inductor
The Murata LQH3NPZ470MMEL is an active-production drum core wirewound inductor in the LQH3 series, shielded for reduced EMI coupling in dense automotive and industrial power circuits. Rated 47 µH ±20% at 1 MHz test frequency, with a continuous current rating of 380 mA and saturation current matching the same 380 mA — the inductor saturates at the rated current, so derating is required for any DC bias margin.
984 mOhm DCR and 5 MHz SRF — the thermal and frequency ceiling
DC resistance is 984 mOhm maximum, producing a self-heating temperature rise of roughly 0.14 W at full rated current — the 105 °C operating limit includes this internal rise, so ambient temperature must be derated accordingly. Self-resonant frequency is 5 MHz, above which the inductor behaves capacitively — effective filtering range is limited to below 5 MHz, typical for DC-DC converter output chokes and low-frequency EMI suppression. Ferrite core material with shielded construction keeps stray flux within the 3.00 mm × 3.00 mm footprint, allowing adjacent traces to run closer without inductive crosstalk.
