150 µH shielded wirewound for DC-DC filtering
The Murata LQH3NPN151MGRL is a 150 µH shielded wirewound inductor in the LQH3 series, built on a ferrite drum core with a wirewound construction. It is rated for 180 mA continuous current and saturates at 160 mA, with a maximum DC resistance of 5.88 Ω. The self-resonant frequency sits at 3 MHz, which sets the upper limit for effective filtering in a buck or boost converter — above that, the inductive impedance drops and the part behaves capacitively.
Current derating and saturation margin
The rated current (180 mA) and saturation current (160 mA) are close — only 20 mA apart — so the design headroom is tight. In a power rail that sees transient peaks above 160 mA, the inductance will drop sharply, and the output ripple will increase.
Shielding and board integration
The shielded construction reduces magnetic coupling to adjacent traces and components — useful in a compact 3.00 mm × 3.00 mm footprint where the inductor sits close to a sensitive ADC or RF front-end. The 1.00 mm seated height keeps it low-profile for tight enclosures. The 1212 (3030 Metric) package is a standard footprint, and the part is offered in both Tape & Reel and Cut Tape options for prototyping or volume assembly.
