Automotive-grade 68 µH shielded inductor for DC-DC stages
The LQH3NPH680MMEL is a drum-core wirewound inductor from Murata's LQH3 series, shielded to contain magnetic flux and rated AEC-Q200 for automotive stress profiles. Its 68 µH inductance at ±20% tolerance targets output filter and energy-storage roles in switching regulators where the DC bias current stays below the 310 mA saturation floor. Rated current is 470 mA, with a maximum DC resistance of 1.38 Ohm — the I²R loss at full load is roughly 0.3 W, which the 1212 (3030 Metric) body dissipates without exceeding the 125°C upper operating limit.
Package footprint and board-fit constraints
Surface-mount termination on ferrite core; the self-resonant frequency of 5 MHz means the inductor behaves inductively up to that point — above it, parasitic capacitance dominates and the impedance rolls off.
Inductance is tested at 1 MHz — the standard measurement frequency for power inductors in this value range, giving a consistent reference for DC-DC converter design.
