22 µH shielded wirewound — 550 mA continuous, 650 mA saturation ceiling
The LQH32PN220MNCL is a Murata shielded wirewound inductor, 22 µH ±20%, rated 550 mA DC with a saturation current floor of 650 mA. The 100 mA headroom between the DC rating and Isat means the core holds inductance through peak ripple currents in a buck converter — the saturation knee is above the rated current, not at it. Ferrite core and full shield keep the field contained; the 20 MHz self-resonant frequency sits well above the 1–2 MHz switching band of most DC-DC converters, so the inductor behaves as an inductor, not a capacitor, at the switching edge.
DCR and temperature — the loss budget in the power rail
822 mOhm max DCR at 25 °C. At 550 mA the I²R loss is 249 mW — in a 1210 package without forced airflow that heat stays inside the board stack. 1210 (3225 metric) footprint, 3.2×2.5×2.2 mm seated height. Standard pad geometry — no thermal via pattern needed for this power level, but a flooded ground plane under the part helps spread the self-heating.
Active lifecycle — no EOL watch for new designs
Murata lists the LQH32PN220MNCL as Active.
