15 µH shielded wirewound for DC-DC filtering
The LQH32PB150MN0L is a 15 µH drum core wirewound inductor from Murata's LQH32 series, shielded to contain flux and reduce EMI coupling into nearby traces. Rated current is 520 mA with a saturation floor of 600 mA — the margin between rated and Isat is tight, so the inductor should be sized so the peak ripple current plus DC bias stays below 520 mA in steady state. DC resistance is 684 mOhm max, which at 520 mA yields a self-heating of about 185 mW — the temperature rise adds to the ambient, so the 125°C max operating limit includes that self-heat. The self-resonant frequency is 20 MHz, well above typical 1-2 MHz switching converters, so the inductor behaves as an inductor rather than a capacitor in the passband.
Board-fit and handling for the 1210 package
It is a nonstandard package — the pad layout follows the 1210 land pattern, but verify the specific pad geometry against the Murata application note for the LQH32 series, as the winding termination may differ from a generic 1210 chip inductor. Supplied on tape and reel, the inductor is compatible with standard pick-and-place. The ferrite core is brittle — avoid excessive nozzle force during placement and do not drop the reel. No moisture sensitivity level is stated, but a 24-hour bake at 125°C before reflow is a safe precaution if the reel seal is broken or the part has been stored in high humidity.
