The Murata LQH32NZ271J23L is a 270 µH drum core wirewound inductor in the LQH32 series, rated for 65 mA with a maximum DC resistance of 12.5 Ohm.
Inductance and current — the fit decision
At 270 µH with a ±5% tolerance, this inductor maintains a tight inductance window for filtering or energy storage in DC-DC converter output stages or EMI suppression circuits. The 65 mA current rating sets the continuous DC load limit — derate for ambient temperature above 85°C and for self-heating from the 12.5 Ohm DCR, which at full current drops about 53 mV and dissipates 53 mW. Self-resonant frequency is 5 MHz, tested at 1 MHz — the inductor behaves inductively well below 5 MHz; above that, parasitic capacitance dominates and the impedance drops.
