560 µH at 40 mA — the DCR is the derating governor
The LQH32NH561J23L is a drum-core wirewound inductor in Murata's LQH32 series, rated 560 µH ±5% at 1 MHz test frequency. Its 40 mA continuous current rating is paired with a 17.52 Ω maximum DC resistance — the DCR is the thermal bottleneck, not the core saturation. At 40 mA the I²R loss is 28 mW; that heat must be sunk through the 1210 (3225 metric) solder pads, so a tight layout with limited copper pour will push the hotspot above the 125 °C absolute maximum.
AEC-Q200 qualification and the deployment envelope
Rated AEC-Q200, this inductor is qualified for automotive-grade stress — thermal shock, vibration, and humidity bias per the AEC-Q200 passive-component standard. The self-resonant frequency is 4 MHz; above that the component behaves capacitively, so it is not a candidate for switching regulators running above 2 MHz unless the application tolerates the impedance roll-off.
Active lifecycle — no last-time-buy pressure
Murata lists the LQH32NH561J23L as Active.
