The LQH32CN101K23L is a 100 µH drum-core wirewound inductor in Murata's LQH32 series, unshielded, with a ferrite core. The 100 mA current rating is the DC bias current at which the inductance typically drops 10% from the nominal value — stay under this to keep the filter corner frequency stable. Self-resonant frequency is 10 MHz. Above that the impedance turns capacitive — for a buck converter switching at 2 MHz the inductor still looks inductive, but for a 10 MHz noise filter you are near the resonance and the attenuation rolls off.
Unshielded construction — layout consideration
This is an unshielded inductor. The magnetic field radiates from the drum core; keep the inductor at least one body width away from sensitive analog traces, the feedback node of a switching regulator, or a low-level sensor input. A shielded part in the same LQH32 family would contain the field, but the 100 µH value and 100 mA rating are the same.
Murata lists the LQH32CN101K23L as Active.
