47 µH shielded ferrite-core inductor for automotive power rails
The Murata LQH2MPZ470MGRL is a 47 µH drum core wirewound inductor in the LQH2 series, shielded for reduced EMI coupling into adjacent traces. The 180 mA continuous current rating and 6.36 Ohm max DCR define the DC loss budget — at full rated current the self-heating from DCR is roughly 0.2 W, which stays within the 0806 package's thermal limits below 105 °C ambient.
AEC-Q200 qualification and temperature grade
Rated AEC-Q200, this inductor is qualified for automotive stress profiles including thermal shock, vibration, and board flex per the AEC-Q200 passive component standard.
Saturation headroom and self-resonant frequency
The saturation current (Isat) is 270 mA, giving 50 % headroom above the 180 mA rated current — a DC-DC converter with a 150 mA load ripple that peaks at 200 mA still stays below the inductance roll-off knee. The self-resonant frequency is 10 MHz, which sets the usable frequency ceiling: above 10 MHz the inductor behaves capacitively, so it suits switching converters switching at 1–3 MHz where the fundamental and first few harmonics stay below SRF.
0806 footprint and board integration
Tape-and-reel packaging supports automated pick-and-place at standard feeder pitches.
