2.2 µH shielded wirewound for DC-DC decoupling
The Murata LQH2MPN2R2MGRL is a 2.2 µH shielded wirewound inductor in the LQH2 series, built on a ferrite core with a drum-core construction. Its 680 mA rated current and 468 mOhm max DCR suit it for power-supply decoupling and DC-DC converter output filtering in space-constrained designs.
Current handling and saturation margin
Rated at 680 mA continuous, the part offers a saturation current (Isat) of 1.18 A — nearly 1.7× the rated current, providing headroom for transient spikes without hard saturation. The 468 mOhm max DCR sets the I²R loss at full rated current to about 216 mW, manageable in the 0806 footprint without excessive temperature rise. The self-resonant frequency of 50 MHz means the inductor behaves inductively well below that point — suitable for switching frequencies up to several MHz typical in point-of-load converters.
0806 footprint and reflow profile
The shielded construction reduces radiated EMI, important when placed near sensitive analog or RF stages on the same board. Tape-and-reel packaging (cut tape also available) supports automated pick-and-place assembly.
