22 µH, 185 mA, 2.73 Ohm DCR — what drives the fit
The LQH2MCN220K02L: The 22 µH inductance at 1 MHz test frequency is the primary filter target; the 185 mA current rating is the continuous DC limit before the core saturates or the temperature rise exceeds the 85 °C operating ceiling. The 2.73 Ohm maximum DCR sets the I²R conduction loss — at 185 mA the self-heating from DCR alone is about 93 mW, which is manageable in a 0806 footprint but worth checking against the ambient temperature budget. Self-resonant frequency is 30 MHz, meaning the inductor behaves inductively up to roughly that point; above it parasitic capacitance dominates and the impedance drops. For switching converters switching below 10 MHz this is well clear of the SRF, but for RF bias or filtering near 30 MHz the effective inductance will roll off.
0806 footprint and ferrite core
The ferrite core material gives good inductance stability over temperature and current, but the unshielded construction means flux can couple into nearby traces or components; keep sensitive analog or RF traces a few millimeters away.
