3.3 µH shielded wirewound for DC-DC filtering
The Murata LQH2HPN3R3MGRL is a 3.3 µH shielded wirewound inductor in the LQH2 series, rated for 1.1 A continuous current with a DCR of 270 mOhm max. The 1.23 A saturation current (Isat) gives about 12% headroom above the rated current before inductance rolls off — useful for transient peaks in a buck converter output filter.
Current rating and DCR trade-off
At 1.1 A, the I²R loss through the 270 mOhm DCR is 327 mW — within the dissipation capability of the 1008 package for most ambient conditions up to 85°C. The self-resonant frequency of 70 MHz means the inductor behaves as an inductor well above typical switching frequencies for point-of-load converters (1-6 MHz), so the SRF won't limit the application. Shielded construction reduces radiated EMI coupling into adjacent traces or components — a practical advantage when the inductor sits near a sensitive analog front-end or RF section on a compact board.
