47 µH shielded inductor for automotive power filtering
The Murata LQH2HNH470J03L is a 47 µH drum core wirewound inductor in the LQH2 series, qualified to AEC-Q200 for automotive applications. The shielded construction contains the magnetic field, reducing crosstalk to adjacent traces in a dense ECU layout. Rated at 70 mA with a DC resistance of 5.48 Ohm, this inductor is sized for low-current supply rails — think sensor bias, CAN transceiver supply, or MCU core filtering where the load stays under 70 mA continuous.
Self-resonant frequency and impedance profile
The self-resonant frequency is 14 MHz. Above this frequency the inductor behaves capacitively, so the effective filtering range is limited to switching frequencies well below 14 MHz — typical for automotive DC-DC converters switching at 400 kHz to 2 MHz. Inductance is tested at 1 MHz, which is the standard test frequency for inductors in this value range. The ±5% tolerance keeps the inductance within a tight window for filter pole placement.
1008 package and board integration
The ferrite core material provides stable inductance over temperature and DC bias. Tape-and-reel packaging supports automated pick-and-place assembly. The shielded design means the inductor can be placed near other magnetic components without coupling issues — useful in multi-rail power supplies where space is tight.
