Inductance and current capability for DC-DC filtering
The DFEH12060D-5R6M=P3 is a 5.6 µH shielded power inductor from Murata's DFEH12060D series, rated for 10 A continuous current with a saturation current floor of 13 A — the saturation rating is the hard limit; once the core saturates, inductance collapses and the ripple current spikes, so the 13 A figure governs the peak-load transient margin, not the 10 A DC rating. Maximum DC resistance is 11 mOhm — at 10 A the I²R loss is 1.1 W, which the iron-powder core and the 6 mm seated height must dissipate without exceeding the 155 °C temperature ceiling. AEC-Q200 qualified with an operating range of -40 °C to +155 °C — this covers the underhood ambient of an engine-bay ECU where the inductor sits near a 105 °C case and sees self-heating on top of that, leaving roughly 50 °C of thermal margin before the part derates.
Obsolete — sourcing through independent channels
Available through independent surplus and broker channels; each lot is traceable and verified against the original Murata specifications. For a BOM that already uses this footprint and inductance value, the shielded iron-powder construction and the 13 A saturation floor are the two parameters that must be matched if a functional replacement is evaluated — the 11 mOhm DCR sets the conduction loss baseline.
Package footprint and board layout
Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) — the reel quantity is not listed here, so confirm the carrier tape pitch and reel diameter with the supplier before programming the pick-and-place machine.
