NRND lifecycle — design-in implications
The DFEG7030D-150M=P3: Existing production BOMs can still be supported, but new board spins should evaluate the current-production successor in the DFEG7030D family. This is the standard the OEM auditor expects to see in the PPAP package.
Parametric fit — 15 µH, 2.2 A, 3.2 A saturation
15 µH ±20% at 100 kHz test frequency, with a maximum DC resistance of 147 mOhm. The 2.2 A rated current is the continuous DC current before the temperature rise exceeds the design limit; the 3.2 A saturation current is where inductance drops by 30% — the switching regulator's peak current must stay below this to maintain ripple current control. Iron powder core material and full magnetic shielding keep the flux contained — the 7.00 mm x 6.60 mm footprint does not radiate into adjacent passives on a dense power-stage layout.
Temperature grade and board integration
The seated height of 3.00 mm fits within the 4 mm clearance typical of a two-layer power board. Surface-mount nonstandard package — the 0.276" x 0.260" footprint matches the standard DFEG7030D land pattern. Tape & Reel (TR) for production reels; Cut Tape (CT) for prototype builds.
