Obsolete — sourcing path for the BOM line
Murata lists the DFEG12060D-8R2M=P3 as Obsolete.
8.2 µH, 8 A — what the ratings mean for the power rail
The DFEG12060D-8R2M=P3 is a shielded power inductor in the DFEG12060D series, wound on an iron powder core. Rated 8.2 µH at 100 kHz test frequency with a continuous current rating of 8 A and a saturation current floor of 11 A. The 17 mOhm max DCR keeps conduction losses low at the 8 A rating — I²R loss is roughly 1.1 W at full load, which the 6.00 mm seated height and nonstandard 13.00 x 12.60 mm package must dissipate into the PCB copper plane.
AEC-Q200 and the 125 °C ceiling
This suits under-hood or engine-bay DC-DC converters where ambient temps reach 105 °C and the inductor self-heating adds another 15–20 °C. Shielded construction contains the magnetic flux — important when the inductor sits adjacent to sensitive analog or RF circuitry on the same PCB without a dedicated keep-out zone.
