4.7 µH, 1.4 A — DC-DC filter core for automotive power rails
The Murata DFE252012PD-4R7M=P2 is a shielded wirewound power inductor in the DFE252012PD series, rated 4.7 µH ±20% at 1 MHz test frequency. Its 1.4 A continuous current rating and 1.9 A saturation current (Isat) give headroom for transient loads in point-of-load converters and input/output filter stages. The metal composite core keeps saturation soft and audible noise low — a common requirement for automotive infotainment and ADAS power supplies where the inductor sits near sensitive analog or RF stages.
AEC-Q200 and 125°C — under-hood and cabin deployment
The 200 mOhm maximum DCR at 25°C sets the I²R conduction loss — at 1.4 A the self-heating is 0.39 W, which the 1008 (2520 Metric) footprint dissipates into the board copper without exceeding the 125°C limit in still air.
