1.5 µH shielded wirewound — DC-DC output filter fit
The Murata DFE252010R-H-1R5M=P2 is a 1.5 µH shielded wirewound inductor in the DFE252010R series, built with a flat-wire winding on an iron-powder drum core. Rated 2.1 A continuous with a 2.3 A saturation current, it is sized for point-of-load regulators and DC-DC converter output filters where the ripple current stays below the saturation floor. The 90 mOhm max DCR sets the I²R conduction loss — at 2.1 A the self-heating adds roughly 0.4 W, which the 1008 package dissipates into the PCB copper plane. The shielded construction contains the magnetic field, so adjacent traces or low-profile magnetics on the same board side do not couple noise into the inductor.
Obsolete — sourcing through independent channels
Murata lists the DFE252010R-H-1R5M=P2 as obsolete. For BOM positions already qualified to this footprint and inductance, the remaining supply sits in independent distribution — quantities are lot-specific, date codes vary, and each reel is screened for authenticity before it ships. If you are sourcing this part for a repair or a last-time-buy, confirm the reel quantity and acceptable date-code window at RFQ. The 1008 footprint and 1.5 µH ±20% target are common enough that a parametric substitute from another series may fit without a board spin, but no direct cross-reference is published.
1008 footprint, 1.0 mm profile — board-fit note
No AEC-Q200 grade is listed; for engine-bay or 125 °C applications a different series is needed.
