The DFE252010P-4R7M=P2 is a shielded wirewound drum-core inductor from Murata's DFE252010P series, built for surface-mount power supply filtering in tight spaces. Rated 4.7 µH at 1 MHz test frequency, it carries a continuous current of 1.1 A before the DCR climb drives the temperature rise, and saturates at 1.7 A — the point where inductance drops off and the circuit sees a short. The 270 mΩ max DCR is the DC loss figure: at 1.1 A, expect about 327 mW of copper loss, which the 1008 package (2.5 × 2.0 mm footprint, 1.0 mm seated height) sinks into the board copper.
Shielding, core, and temp range — field-fit check
Shielded construction with an iron powder core means the flux is contained — no crosstalk into adjacent traces or nearby RF stages, which matters when the inductor sits next to a switching regulator on a mixed-signal board. The flat-wire winding packs more copper cross-section into the same drum height than round wire, lowering DCR for a given inductance — a design choice for higher efficiency in the same footprint.
