8.2 µH shielded power inductor for DC-DC rail filtering
The DFE252010F-8R2M=P2 is a shielded power inductor from Murata's DFE252010F series, wound on an iron powder core. Its 8.2 µH inductance with ±20% tolerance suits output filtering in buck converters or input filtering for point-of-load regulators drawing up to 1 A continuous. Rated current is 1 A, with a saturation current of 1.55 A — the core holds inductance past the rated load, so a transient spike to 1.3 A stays within the linear region before the inductance rolls off. The 520 mΩ maximum DCR at 25°C means 0.52 W of copper loss at full rated current; derate above 85°C ambient per the core's temperature profile. Shielded construction contains the magnetic field, reducing radiated EMI into adjacent traces or sensitive analog circuits. This matters when the inductor sits close to a low-noise regulator or ADC reference on a mixed-signal board.
Supplied on tape and reel; cut tape available for prototype builds. The iron powder core material maintains stable inductance across this range without the saturation drift seen in ferrite cores at temperature extremes.
Sourcing and lifecycle posture
No pin-compatible direct substitute is documented, but the DFE252010F series includes other inductance values in the same footprint for rail-specific tuning.
