1 µH shielded power inductor for DC-DC input/output filtering
The Murata DFE252010F-1R0M=P2 is a 1 µH shielded wirewound inductor from the DFE252010F series, built with a flat-wire winding on an iron-powder core. It delivers 3.1 A continuous current and saturates at 4.1 A, with a maximum DC resistance of 48 mOhm.
Flat-wire winding and iron-powder core for DC bias stability
Flat-wire construction gives this inductor a higher saturation current relative to its DCR than a round-wire winding of the same footprint — the 4.1 A Isat at 1 µH means the inductance holds up under transient loads that would push a round-wire part into hard saturation. The iron-powder core material exhibits a soft-saturation characteristic: inductance rolls off gradually above the rated current rather than collapsing abruptly, which keeps the output ripple under control during overload events in a buck converter. Shielding reduces radiated EMI to adjacent traces and components — useful when the inductor sits near a sensitive analog front-end or RF section on the same PCB.
