Wirewound 1 µH with a 1.8 A saturation floor
The DFE2016CKA-1R0M=P2 is a shielded wirewound power inductor from Murata's DFE18SBN series, built around a metal composite core that keeps saturation current at 1.8 A — the same figure as the continuous current rating, so the inductance holds flat right up to the rated load. Rated inductance is 1 µH at 1 MHz test frequency, ±20% tolerance. The 100 mOhm max DCR is the main conduction loss term; at 1.8 A the I²R loss is 0.324 W, which the 0805 body dissipates without exceeding the 125°C upper operating limit.
0805 footprint, 1.0 mm seated height
The shielded construction contains the magnetic field within the package, so adjacent traces and low-profile passives see minimal coupling. The metal core material holds inductance stable across the band with no ferrite saturation knee shift.
Active production, no cross-reference on record
No official pin-compatible successor or second-source cross-reference is published. For BOM consolidation, the 1 µH / 1.8 A / 0805 shielded profile is common across several Murata and competitor series, but a direct drop-in replacement requires verifying the same footprint and saturation behaviour.
