1.5 µH shielded power inductor — obsolete, sourced to order
The Murata DFE201610R-H-1R5M=P2 is a 1.5 µH shielded wirewound inductor from the DFE201610R series, rated for 1.8 A continuous current with a saturation current of 2.5 A.
What the ratings mean for the DC-DC rail
Saturation current of 2.5 A means the inductor can handle transient peaks up to that level without a hard roll-off — above 2.5 A the inductance drops sharply and the ripple current becomes uncontrolled. Maximum DC resistance of 110 mOhm contributes about 360 mW of I²R loss at 1.8 A — acceptable for a 1.0 mm profile part in a power module, but the thermal rise at that current should be verified in the end-system airflow.
0806 footprint and board integration
Surface-mount, shielded construction means the magnetic flux is contained within the core — adjacent traces and components see minimal EMI coupling, which simplifies layout in dense power sections.
